Ruby is a qualified counsellor and completed a Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling) in Australia. Ruby has also completed a 2 year post graduate Conscious Connected Breathwork Training, along with many other somatic focused trainings and courses. Including dream and embodied imagination courses, somatic experiencing work and has done short courses with Peter Levine, shamanic journeying, Mental Health Strengths based modal of care and first aid, domestic violence training programs, crisis response, and extensive safety planning training.Over the past 12 years Ruby has worked in a mix of varied roles, including: as a counsellor and breathwork practitioner with people of all backgrounds, including with LGBTIQA+ folk, in domestic violence crisis response roles, in youth mental health programs, womens mental health programs, aged and disability support coordination work, and working for foster care programs with young children.
