Sarah has decades of experience working with children, youth and adults in community work, in faith-based organisations and educational settings. Sarah has a Master of Counselling and a Level Two Certificate in Trauma-informed Expressive Arts Therapy.
Sarah works with anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship issues, anger management, parenting issues, post-natal depression, spiritual/faith development, navigating neurodiverse relationships, and group work, with a trauma-informed approach.
Sarah integrates mindfulness, compassionate inquiry, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Expressive therapies for processing issues, and increasing capacity for regulation, presence, resilience, self-compassion, curiosity, joy and enlivenment. Through the therapeutic relationship and the process of counselling, clients work towards mind-body-spirit integration and wholeness.
Sarah has a lived experience of personally working through trauma, grief and loss, and navigating neurodiverse relationships, which informs her practice. Having also worked in ministry roles, Sarah works with pastors and people working in ministry, offering a confidential and compassionate space to help clients process the unique tensions of this space.
Sarah is available weekdays for in-person counselling in the Blue Mountains NSW, and is also available online.
