Hi, I'm Sharalyn, a registered Counsellor and Supervisor with lots of professional and life experience who is committed to helping my clients turn life challenges into life changing opportunities. I've been working in this field for the past 15 years with clients who are wanting to live more positive and fulfilling lives. With a Master of Arts, I have also trained in the USA as a Certified Sex Addiction Specialist and Betrayal Trauma Certified Clinical Partner Specialist.  I also hold qualifications in Clinical Pastoral Counselling and Drug and Alcohol Work. I have worked in a number of leading Sydney hospitals working with clients covering a large range of issues from addiction to trauma and abuse, to helping clients address problems caused by those general life issues we all confront from time to time. I also help clients who are struggling with problems such as relationship issues, grief, loss, depression and anxiety, and issues related to aging and life transitions. I can also help you explore those more existential questions around spiritual issues and life meaning. Papers I  presented at the ANZ Addictions Conference, titled "Sex Addiction: The Silent Addiction" was published in Counselling Australia journal (2017) along with "Betrayal Trauma - Working with Partners of Sex addicts" (2018).  "Resistance to Resilience: Addiction, Co-dependency and Doing Life Differently" was published in Perspectives on Coping and Resilience, Authorspress, 2013.
