I am a counsellor and facilitator. My specialty is supporting people to process, reflect upon and navigate life changing moments, small and large, so they may thrive.I have had a 30-year career in disability and health. My professional interest and skills have enabled me to empower people to navigate life after being impacted by significant life events such as disability, medical diagnosis, immigration, grief and loss, and change in employment status.I believe that counselling is a client lead collaborative process. Together we establish what you want to achieve within the sessions and design an approach that works for you. We aim for substantial and sustainable change that will empower you with the skills and strategies to take control and thrive. My practice is trauma informed and I draw on the skills and techniques found in Cognitive behavior Therapy, (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Narrative therapy, and mindfulness therapies. My approach is informed by current evidenced based practice which helps guide our approach to achieve optimal outcomes.Over the years I have worked with hundreds of clients to explore new ways to find meaning and joy in their lives, and supported them through their very personal journeys.
