With a solid foundation in education and psychology, Simon brings a unique blend of expertise to his practice. Holding a Diploma of Counselling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Simon is well-equipped to support individuals through their mental health journey.Drawing on his background as a former classroom teacher and assistant principal, Simon understands the importance of education and empowerment in fostering personal growth and resilience. His teaching qualifications enrich his approach, allowing him to effectively communicate complex concepts and strategies to his clients.In addition to his counselling qualifications, Simon is also a certified horticultural therapist, having completed a Certificate 3 in Horticulture. He firmly believes in the therapeutic benefits of nature and incorporates Therapeutic Horticulture into his practice. Through his business, Root Down Horticultural Therapy and Counselling, Simon offers a unique and nurturing environment where clients can explore healing and growth through connection with nature.With a compassionate and client-centered approach, Simon is committed to providing a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their emotions, overcome challenges, and cultivate resilience. Whether through traditional counseling techniques or experiential activities in nature, Simon empowers his clients to tap into their inner strengths and resources to lead fulfilling lives.
