I seek to support clients who are looking to make positive change in their lives. They may want to move away from difficult emotional states like depression, anxiety, and anger or address repetitive behaviours such as substance abuse that are holding them back. They may also be overwhelmed by transitions like bereavement, divorce or relocation and feel stuck, or unvalued, in their professional journey.I see clients of all ages and from many walks of life, with a particular focus on men's mental health, adolescents and young adults, and members of the LGBTQ community.I work across two core, complimentary modalities. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to ground present emotional realities in greater self-awareness; and I deploy psychodynamic principles to go to the 'root causes' of difficulties in the past. I am currently undertaking the Four Year Program of Studies with the Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis I'd love to hear what's troubling you and to work out together whether therapy can help. I'm currently based in Castlemaine and offer both in-person and online therapy. I will also be available in Melbourne from April onwards. I offer a no-charge pre-screen call to ensure alignment of needs and methods, and will on-refer if necessary.Everyone has a story and even in the telling there is healing; but it's the chapters to come that matter now.
