My mission as a counsellor and psychotherapist is to encourage and support individuals and couples to develop their own resources and strengthen their coping strategies. To provide relief from symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, disconnection, grief and loss, suicide, addiction, and relationship issues including affairs and impacts of separation and parental alienation.
My aim is to support people in need and in pain, as I too have been supported. To hold space for others as they share their stories of difficulty and conflict. I have endured great adversity throughout my life and in my darkest hours I found the courage to reach out and find the support I needed. Through lived experience and specialist knowledge my focus is to instil hope and rebuild lives and relationships, holding onto to hope when all seems lost.
Change and relief is facilitated through the integration of various therapy methods which are focussed on the best interests of the client. Developing enduring life skills and deeper understanding of self and life experiences through experiential interventions derived from research based psychotherapy models.
Therapeutic approaches and interventions include DBT, Gestalt, Narrative, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Experience, Existential, Attachment Theory, Jungian, Gottman, and Schema therapy models.
My values and mission is to create a community of connection through humour and kindness by being courageous and compassionate.
