Sue is a Counsellor, Art Therapist, and registered NDIS provider working with others to explore how therapy and creative processes can benefit their fulfilment and wellbeing. She has had the pleasure to have worked as an Art Therapist since 2018 and to be supporting those with diverse lived experiences since 2014.
Each of us are unique with our own life histories, environments in which we live, social, cultural, and personal identities. We live these through our one of a kind physical body. We have strengths and challenges. Sue’s therapy style is person-centred, hearing you to understand your lived experiences. Her style is to work collaboratively toward your desired goals.
Sessions can be discussions, or a mix of verbal and expressive art therapy. This supports exploration of challenges in different ways, at your pace, with new discovery. Materials are invited based on your interests, sensory preferences, and therapeutic goals. No skill is needed, everyone is welcome. Sue will offer a range of ways to grow through the therapy.
A first call to discuss therapy can feel confrontational. Sue values a gently developed well informed working relationship with you. Her training and practice enable a range of evidence-based methods and practice setting for you choose from. Together we develop your therapy plan. It begins with your courage to reach out, which is welcomed and supported.
