Tanya is a dedicated and compassionate professional with over 25 years of experience in mental health and palliative care. She specialises in trauma-informed and responsive care, supporting clients through trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, stress management, suicidal ideation, and general mental health challenges.
As a qualified counsellor and registered nurse, Tanya integrates evidence-based practices grounded in a humanistic psychological approach. Her methods include compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness, nature-based therapy, play therapy, art therapy, and strength-based strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs. She also draws on her lived experience when relevant, offering authentic and relatable support.
Tanya provides online counselling for convenience and comfort, eco/nature-based sessions in serene outdoor settings, and Equine-Assisted Learning.
Tanya has also been honoured to work with Lifeline WA as permanent staff on their Digital Crisis Support service since 2022.
With empathy, innovation, and expertise, Tanya assists clients in navigating challenges and fostering meaningful, joyful, and fulfilling lives.
