Through using a range of techniques drawn from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Positive Psychology and Narrative therapy, she works creatively to meet the individual’s unique needs.Known for her gentle and empathetic manner, Tanya inspires an open, honest and compassionate space. She will help you navigate life’s many challenges and learn how to relate to yourself and others in conscious and transformative ways. Please note: Tanya is currently only offering MiCBT sessions and these are held online. MiCBT is composed of four stages. Clients begin by developing insight into internal experiences and skills to manage thoughts and emotions, via the practice of mindfulness (including daily mediation as traditionally taught in Burmese Vipassana). As they progress along the subsequent stages, attention is increasingly externalized toward others, and mindfulness skills are invested into cultivating a more fulfilling way of relating to the world. The programme generally requires about ten sessions, but the pace can be slowed when needed, and the programme can be flexibly extended to further sessions as long as necessary. Sessions are best held weekly or fortnightly for optimum progress.
