I support clients with a range of issues, but I am particularly focused on the role of attachment and how developing a secure attachment style can help heal various issues.I completed a Graduate Diploma in psychology at the University of Melbourne, then trained in integrative Psychotherapy at the Ikon institute of Australia. I’ve studied mentalisation-based therapy, different meta-cognitive therapies, and Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (The Conversational Model), but I also frequently draw on Internal Family Systems, somatic experiencing, and cognitive-behavioural therapy. However, I believe that most of the time therapists should focus on delivering Plain Old Therapy. By this I mean building an increasingly strong relationship that deepens empathy, working together to develop a collaborative therapeutic plan and goals, and regularly reviewing these during our time together. Put simply, I’m focused on what is going on between you and me, what this tells me about what you need, and how we can shape our relationship more and more towards meeting these needs.
