After 2 decades of providng counselling service likened to a general practice, he gradually shifted to specialise in working with clients dealing with various traumas through the application of EMDR approaches. As a psychotherapist who specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dr Tim's ideal client is someone who has experienced trauma and is struggling with the lasting effects of those experiences. While trauma can take many different forms, clients that Dr Tim works with may be experiencing a variety of symptoms related to their trauma, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, nightmares, flashbacks, and avoidance behaviors. These symptoms can have a significant impact on the client's daily life, making it difficult for them to function at work, home, or in social situations.Dr Tim's professional goal is to help his clients heal from past traumas, alleviate anxiety and depression, and improve their overall well-being using the therapeutic approach of EMDR. This is highly effective in treating a wide range of mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction. He has witnessed the transformative power of EMDR therapy with most of his clients presenting with traumatic memories.
