With over five years of experience as a high school Wellbeing Leader/Counsellor, I bring extensive knowledge in supporting adolescents and their families. My work with high-risk cases, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, sexual abuse, family violence, and trauma, has refined my ability to address complex underlying issues that contribute to emotional and psychological challenges. In addition, I have supervised Master of Counselling students from various universities, providing guidance and fostering their professional growth.
My practice incorporates evidence-based counselling modalities, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strength-based approaches. These methods reflect my belief that counselling provides a space for exploration and growth, balancing personal well-being with societal influences.
I understand that life’s challenges can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain. I view these moments not as failures but as opportunities to uncover unexplored beliefs and triggers that shape the current situation. By addressing these root causes, I aim to help clients resolve their challenges at the core from a realistic and controllable perspective, enabling them to move forward with greater understanding and the courage developed during our work together.
Whether I’m supporting adolescents with emotional regulation and identity challenges or adults navigating trauma and life transitions, my approach focuses on building resilience and self-awareness through the realistic and grounded lens. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to thrive.
