The workshop will be facilitated by Trish Purnell-Webb and John Flanagan who are Australia’s most experienced Advanced Gottman Clinical Trainers & Consultants.Trish is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years experience of working with couples in a range of clinical and non-clinical settings, Trish brings a wealth of experience working with complex couples struggling with trauma, mood disorders, personality vulnerabilities, anger management issues, affair recovery and alcohol use. She is also an experienced clinical supervisor and assessor for the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority.Trish is trained to provide a range of therapeutic approaches including:Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Trauma specific interventionsExistential PsychotherapyEmotion Focussed Therapy for couples (EFT)Gottman Marital TherapyMotivational InterviewingTrish has extensive experience in working with people who have experienced trauma including adult survivors of childhood abuse, military veterans, police, ambulance and fire officers and members of the general community. For the past 15+ years Trish has been providing group interventions to Veterans and their families as a preferred provider for the Veterans and Veterans’ Families Counselling Service, as well as mood management programs for community health organisations. He has developed a practice that utilises a range of experiential therapies combining these approaches in his work style.
