Don’t miss this fully-funded opportunity by Department of Health (Vic) to learn the skills to help keep your community safe from suicide. In this two-day in-person workshop, participants learn a evidence-based suicide intervention model to intervene and help prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Developed in 1982 and regularly evaluated and updated for best practice, ASIST has over 30+ peer-reviewed studies proving its ability to reduce thoughts of suicide for those at risk.

Participants in ASIST:

  • Work to develop a personalised safety plan for someone with thoughts of suicide to keep “safe-for-now”
  • Connect the person with thoughts of suicide to further help
