I’m a clinical psychologist and board approved supervisor in Melbourne, Australia. I work clinically with teenagers, adults and older adults and have worked extensively in public health, private practice and education. I am passionate about ongoing learning for therapists, and enjoy taking complex ideas or theories and making them interesting, explainable and practical. I love presenting workshops in person as well as adapting my content for online audiences, and exploring ways of making that content as interesting and varied as possible.

Attachment theory has always fascinated me. For well over the last decade I have immersed myself in this subject and have been applying this theory in my clinical work. I have been fortunate enough to work in settings that have allowed me to keep this as a focus of my practice and so I have been able to experience the relevance of this theory in many different patient groups including oncology, rehabilitation, acute psychiatry and crisis assessment, specialist education and behavioural problems, as well as my ongoing adult psychotherapy patients. Invariably I have found attachment theory helpful in understanding complex presentations, both in the early phases of treatment where building rapport is critical as well as in the mid to late phases of treatment when the patient can often be challenged more explicitly towards change.

Since 2017 I have facilitated in-person workshops for a number of specialised audiences on the integration of attachment theory in clinical settings. I now have the wonderful opportunity to deliver this training in an online format and to a much wider audience! Since releasing Attachment Theory in Clinical Practice in November 2021 we have had over 500 practitioners join us, and the feedback has been amazing! It has been an absolute pleasure facilitating an online community of practitioners who are committed to learning and are inspired in their practice by Attachment Theory. If you choose to join us, I hope you find our course both engaging and informative to your practice!
