Note: This course will be conducted in Brazilian Portuguese.This online program will teach counsellors and psychologists how to create case formulations, establish strong therapeutic alliances and conduct evidence-based treatments in a holistic and client-centered way.Clinicians will learn to conceptualise and look at their patients and problems in a systematic and integrative way, leaving behind the confusion and frustration of chasing treatment order or switching between approaches.  Learning Outcomes:Understand how to use an array of cognitive, emotive, and behavioral interventions;Enhance microskills that can help therapist to connect with clients on a deeper level;Apply practical intervention skills and tools in working with clients;Learn how to appraise the 5 P's of case formulation;Connect case formulation and treatment planning, creating treatment plans unique to each individual patient;Understand evidence for current intervention strategies (e.g. cognitive-behavioral); Review practical strategies in treating clients, including the key importance of the therapeutic relationship;Assess a client, evaluate the context and develop an intervention plan.Â

Angelica Lopes is a registered supervisor and clinical counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). She has worked over the past 15 years in private practice and in clinical research both in Australia and South America.Prior to migrating to Australia, her clinical experience and training as a fully registered psychologist in Brazil focused on helping those who present with mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and adjustment issues.Angelica has worked in universities in Brazil and Australia and has gained extensive experience in facilitating workshops and professional development training in the areas of mental health, counselling and psychology.Â
