Course Overview:Through this course you will generate solutions that are creative, nourishing, and personalised. You will develop skills in observing your responses and supporting others in challenges they face, and find new connections with our earth.You will participate in dynamic creative processes that involve observation, drawing, conversation and writing – and you do not need any prior experience! Using every day materials, you will discover how much we can yield from a single form when we engage our senses more fully, and how this can be an enabling process for not only ourselves, but the people around us. This is achieved through an exploratory, intuitive approach, which pays attention to locational history and our personal context.In non-threatening ways, our assumptions and perceived limitations will be contemplated, flexed, and reframed to shift stagnation, ease anxiety, and open new possibilities.We will consider what it means to focus on wellness with creativity and vitality at a time when diagnosis of disease is prevalent. You will have the opportunity to:Learn simple and effective methods to unleash your creative capacity, and that of others, no matter how much experience you hold.Share an empowering reflective process that is open and non-threatening.Uncover and build on your strengths to connect with others, listen effectively, and notice bias in order to expand potential.Consider the difference between a therapy-based approach which might focus on perceived limitations or problems, and self-awareness and care through a holistic approach focusing on the whole body, creativity, and the earth.Understand how creative processes can enable exploration, understanding, and expression of self while at the same time, energise and heal. Create rich visuals that embody an authentic process. These visuals can serve as triggers for future reflection and collaboration in diverse forms

Vicky Shukuroglou is a multidisciplinary artist and writer with a passion for activating dynamic, reflective learning spaces and a powerful sense of identity.Using creative practice as a vehicle and path to enhance empathy, awareness, connectivity, and innovation, Vicky supports individuals and groups to achieve positive transformation and valuable participation.As a colleague described, '…perhaps everything Vicky does reflects a cultural narrative about how we learn with and from each other'. Vicky works with people of diverse ages and far-ranging cultural backgrounds.National and international residencies, exhibitions and workshops contribute to the depth of understanding and development of learning concepts which Vicky explores, expands, and is sought out to share. Her creative pedagogy is known for stimulating participants’ sense of possibility, capacity, and motivation to learn and engage with their world in meaningful ways.Her workshops have been supported by various organisations including UNESCO, Sanskriti Kendra, Instituto Sacatar, World Crafts Council, Salaam Baalak, VEOHRC, City of Melbourne, Arts Victoria, Fed Square, and schools in regional and metropolitan Australia.
