The emphasis in this Systemic family therapy E-Learning module is on the acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes that are relevant to high-quality family intervention practices. A strong theoretical framework underpins this Module in Systemic family therapy. This is reflected in the content and format within the short course. Students will be introduced to the core ideas and skills of family theory and review the major models of contemporary family therapy. This online module aims to provide participants with the knowledge required to conduct an initial family therapy interview, a thorough understanding of how to develop a systemic case formulation and when to work with individuals versus whole families. It considers child, adolescent and adult mental health practice. This module consists of 5 self-paced sections and includes video demonstration, practical examples, reflective tasks, readings and a short quiz.
