Learning Outcomes 1. Identify and articulate the principles of Emotion-Focused work2. Understand and evaluate similarities and differences between Emotion-Focused work and Humanistic work3. Articulate the EFT therapeutic ‘task principles’, ‘therapeutic task markers’ and therapeutic tasks’ for assessment and ongoing intervention with clients4. Demonstrate the application of emotion focused therapy skills at an introductory level 5. Describe and critique Emotion Focused Tasks for exploring internal experience.6. Describe and apply foundational emotion focused therapy skills and principles for accessing and working with emotional experiencing including empathic attunement and communication of empathy, invitations into inner experience, working in the hereand- now of experience, leading and following7. Analyse the ethical considerations for accessing and working with inner experience and pain.
Key Learning Objectives / Outcomes:
Study mode: Online deliveryOur courses are offered entirely online and include both synchronous classes and asynchronous materials and learning experiences Synchronous learning refers to those types of learning in which learner(s) and instructor(s) are in the same place (virtual or face-to-face) and at the same time. At IEFT, all units have a weekly 2-3 hour synchronous learning session across the duration of the trimester. Asynchronous materials are also provided and are available for students to access 24 hours a day, seven days a week across the trimester. These asynchronous materialsinclude video recordings, readings, and presentations.Synchronous live session dates:September: 13,20,27October: 4, 11,18,25November: 1T?ime: All live sessions are scheduled to take place between 6 PM and 9 PM Sydney time.
