Priscilla McCorriston is an accredited mental health social worker with more than 30 years of experience. She works from a trauma-informed perspective. She has extensive experience working with people from a wide range of cultures and identities. She works full-time in private practice in Newtown, Sydney and has done so since 2013.She has extensive experience providing training, consultation, and supervision to a range of professionals including social workers and psychologists and other professionals such as case managers, lawyers and general practitioners.In her work with counselling clients, she works with adults and young people who are:Survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual assault and child abuse; and war related traumaEngaged in Family Law processes following domestic violenceExperiencing difficulties with their mental health (e.g. anxiety and depression, bi-polar disorder)Experiencing grief and lossDealing with issues related to their sexual or gender identity.
