Delve deep into key concepts of “Shinrin Yoku” and understand the science, research and application of the practice in counselling and psychotherapy. International Core Curriculum of Forest Therapy (ICCFT).
Designed to take you on a journey of discovery spanning decades of science and research, this training introduces experiential, creative, practical, and theoretical aspects of Forest Therapy.
Delve deep into the Japanese concept of “Shinrin Yoku” as well as the standards set in the International Core Curriculum for Forest Therapy.
Experience the proven benefits of this Public health practice for yourself in the lush forests of the Yarra Ranges. Forest Therapy walks will be conducted under the guidance and personal mentoring of international researchers and Forest Therapy practitioners.

The program consists of a six-month blended training course preceded by a five-day in-person training that guarantees international certification of Forest Therapy Guides. INFTA professional training specializes in key competencies for guiding Forest Therapy walks, grounded in nature connection practices, appropriate pedagogy, scientific underpinnings and environmental stewardship.
Be awarded with an international qualification as an INFTA Certified Forest Therapy Guide on successful completion of the mentored practicum.

Training is provided by a team of lecturers who are all tertiary and internationally qualified in Educational Management, Forest Therapy, Forest Medicine, Psychology, Counseling, Business and Law and other relevant disciplines. All our lecturers have several years of practical experience combined with recognised instructional skills and competencies.
