Presenters’ names, qualifications and professional affiliations:  Dr Shane Tas is Senior Policy Advisor, Masculinities, at Our Watch, an independent, national organisation working to prevent violence against women. In this role he was project lead and author of the ‘Men in focus’ report, which develops a deeper understanding of masculinities and the links to violence against women, and examines what is needed to engage men in prevention efforts. Shane also advises on, and helps develop policy responses, campaigns and practice resources relating to masculinities and engaging men and boys in prevention.  Cameron Farshid McDonald is an Iranian-Australian man who has never been satisfied with socially dominant forms of masculinity in Australia. He’s dedicated to working with men and he believes that both men and wider society can be better. Cameron has worked as a social worker in various roles and in diverse settings in primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of men’s violence against women for the last 14+ years. At Our Watch, he has developed a practice guide for addressing masculinities and engaging men in the prevention of men’s violence against women. Currently he works in a sector engagement role focused on building the capacity of the primary prevention sector in Australia.
