Webinar DescriptionLIVE 90-minute webinarYoung women who experience body-image issues, mental health challenges, and drug and alcohol dependency can benefit from counselling approaches that invite embodiment. Learn about how to integrate body-based movement & expressive arts processes with young women – be it in individual settings or group work programs. These processes can encourage self-regulation and creative self-discovery, providing clients with tools to strengthen their confidence and feel resourced to navigate life challenges.Consider strategies to set up supportive spaces to encourage these practices, and learn about processes which enhance the client’s awareness, their connection and access to inner resources and support the creative embodied expression of their feeling states.Several activities will be shared as examples, including: process drawing; self-portraits; self-talk letter writing; movement mantras & strength-based visualisation meditations.You will have the opportunity to be guided through select processes to experience the potential of this work.
