Trauma Education (Day 1-2) Applied Practice: Case Studies 1-2 with Dr Leah Giarratano (only available to Day 1-2 participants from 2016 onwards).
Objective:
OPD Points: 10
Outline:
The program consists of three real, de-identified PTSD case studies to help you apply the Day 1-2 program skills, and these require 6 hours in total to complete. The first PTSD case is a completed example of how your PTSD case formulations will look (as well as the standard of completed formulations).Participants will read two new cases, and answer specific questions designed to generate a clinical assessment and a case/ treatment formulation, applying, but not limited to, the skills learned in the Treating PTSD (Day1-2) training program. After submitting the two case plans, participants will review a video, and detailed notes, of the program presenter’s suggestions for the management of both clients.
Content:
To claim OPD hours/points, the certificate of participation will be issued after returning your two case formulations, which must of a similar standard to the case formulation example provided before commencing the activity.Participants can regsiter anytime during the year and will have three months to complete the two case formulations in their own time. The certificate of participation will be dated the same date of the returned two completed formulations, not the date registered to commence the program. If you require OPD hours before the end of December, we suggest you commence the program in September, or earlier to ensure it is completed in time.
