Jenny Perkel, author of Babies in Mind, is a clinical psychologist, mother, trained nursing sister and midwife. Jenny works in private practice in Cape Town, South Africa, offering psychotherapy to adults, play therapy with young children, parent-infant psychotherapy and parental guidance.Jenny is the managing editor of the professional journal,Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in South Africa,and a member and past chairperson (2011-2012) of the Western Cape Association for Infant Mental Health. She has published dozens of articles about babies, children and parenting and she is the author of a children's book, Streets of Jewels.
