I have worked as a counsellor and educator and in the community service sector for several years. I have supported many people from their own difficult places to a more meaningful path that includes hope, adventure and satisfying relationships with others and themselves. I worked my way towards the qualifications that I felt necessary to accompany my own experiences, and as a result I have been able to support clients from a broad range of socio-economic, cultural, sexual and faith orientations.Through years of training, combined with professional and personal experience, I bring a deep understanding of:Domestic and Family ViolenceSexual assault/abuseTraumaSpiritualityAnxiety and depressionAddictionExpressive therapiesClinical Supervision Clinical supervision and reflective practice is vital in the counselling profession for both beginners and the more advanced counsellor. I see the role of being a supervisor as a privilege, and a great opportunity to work alongside other counsellors to be the best they can be personally and professionally. (Expressives therapies are also used in my supervision process with supervisees when appropriate)
