My areas of expertise include: abuse, addiction and addictive behaviours, anxiety, bereavement, depression, divorce, grief, PTSD, phobia, relationships, self esteem, self harm, separation, sexuality, stress, trauma and supervision. I worked with young and adult clients in the UK Health Service, local government, charities and other agencies and my own practice in the UK before moving to Melbourne and working in Community Health and private practice.

Before becoming a counsellor I ran projects for major companies. I understand the conflicts and pressures modern work and life imposes on us and our relationships. 

I am a psychodynamic counsellor, CBT therapist and Accredited EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA) practitioner. I believe that the counselling should be appropriate to the client. As such I will use a range of techniques to best suit the client’s needs I am also an experienced telephone counsellor, having worked for helplines, dealing with crisis calls and scheduled sessions. I am also a  Professional Member of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association (AHA).

I work to the Australian Counselling Association, the EMDRAA and the AHA Codes of Ethics.
