Fakri (Fai) Seyed Aghamiri

Dr Fai Seyed is the director of the House of Hope counselling and psychotherapy centre in Browns plains and Beachmere. She is a supervisor, trainer and scholar. Dr Fai is trained in trauma therapy, EMDR, Gottman level 1,2 Neurofeedback and relationship restoration following infidelity. Additionally, she is a sexual addiction and partner’s betrayal trauma specialist, and an AASAT (American association of sex addiction therapy) certified specialist. In addition, she has a master's degree in counselling and psychotherapy, is a supervisor and trainer, and is a qualified oral and dental surgeon from Sweden. She has over 27 years of clinical experience in public and private practice across Sweden, England, and Australia. Currently, Dr Fai is one of a few academics in Australia who holds a PhD in pornography addiction/ sexual addiction and betrayal trauma in intimate partners of such individuals. In addition, Dr Fai is an accomplished author of multiple books and academic articles on sex addiction and betrayal trauma in partners.
