Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Meir (pronounced Mayer) and I have been counselling people on the front lines and across the spectrum of mental health conditions, for more than 25 years.
I have developed a very unique and personable style of counselling, using the Rodgerian principles of person centred therapy.
As a member of my counselling community, you are assured a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore and address the issues that are important to you.
Challenges associated with mental health are so real and prevalent in contemporary society. In fact more than one in four Australians will be impacted by some form of mental illness in their lifetime. Grief, loss and trauma informed counselling, in addition to support for generalised anxiety and depression, and relationship counselling, form the mainstay of my practice.
I am also a member of the ACA college of supervisors and provide support and supervision to counsellors and Psychotherapists who work in all fields of mental health.
