Nicole Conner is a qualified Narrative Therapist and Professional Supervisor. She is the founder and director of Defining Stories - a practice that provides counseling, supervision, and organizational consultancy.
Narrative therapy seeks to be a respectful, non-blaming approach to counselling and community work which centres people as the experts in their own lives. It views problems as separate from people and assumes people have many skills, competencies, beliefs, values, commitments and abilities that will assist them to reduce the influence of problems in their lives. Defining Stories is built on the ethos and ideology of Narrative Practice - that the client is the expert of their story. The client and the Problem story are not the same thing: The Problem is the Problem. Everyone has the right to define their life and experiences in their own words and terms.
Nicole is based in Melbourne, Australia but works mostly online.
