Shirley is an experienced Counsellor and has worked in complex case management and counselling for over 10 years. She who has a warm, genuine and gentle approach to working with clients within a person centred framework. Alongside this, she is passionate about understanding how a client is coping with day to day life regardless of any diagnosis.Primarily, having worked with clients who have experienced trauma particularly childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. Shirley has a special interest in drug and alcohol counselling, assisting those with anxiety and depression and focusing on healing through relationships.Shirley is a member of the Australian counselling Association (ACA), works in a university setting in addition to having a part time private practice. Shirley holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology in addition to a Masters degree in Counselling.As a new ACA supervisor Shirley provides 1:1 supervision via Zoom and in person appointments available, (Rockingham location). Particularly interested in supporting new graduate Counsellors or those who want to transition into private practice.
