Sonia is a Registered Counselor, Clinical Supervisor , , training consultant and lecturer with extensive knowledge and experience in working with people experiencing trauma, suicide, emotional distress and complex mental health illnesses, and work-related issues. Sonia has a broad knowledge in working effectively with trauma, having worked as a mental health clinician in a Psychological Trauma Recovery Service where she has been closely working with individuals including Police Force and ADF members dealing with work-related PTSD. Over the last few years, Sonia has been working in workforce education and capacity building sectors where she has been focusing on workforce learning and development as well as workforce wellbeing needs. Sonia has been designing and delivering various learning experiences such as Trauma-Informed Care, Understanding and managing Vicarious Trauma, Understanding and Responding to suicide, critical incidence support system etc. Sonia believes in contemporary counselling approaches and supporting other clinicians and leaders to find their own unique working styles in their roles by providing clinical supervision in public and private sectors.( Please note that Sonia only offers Clinical Supervision to other clinicians at this stage and is unable to take new counselling clients)
