Finding pleasure and ease in our lives is often missing when there is pain, trauma or heartache. I help you learn how to come back to yourself so you align your behaviour with who you are, and who you want to be. Sitting with you, and supporting you to sort through and let go of what your struggling with is what my counselling with you is all about.I qualified in Person Centred Counselling from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. I am also qualified in Traditional Acupuncture and Massage Therapy. My background is in Nursing, (I trained at Westmead Hospital, Sydney).I have a private couselling practice near Gosford and Woy Woy on the Central Coast of NSW. To my counselling practice I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from many different frameworks of healing: incorporating modern Western positive psychology methods and understanding, with ancient Eastern wisdom. In 2013 I qualified as a professional supervisor. She has a wealth of experience working with people and couples and a deep understanding of mental health issues and relationship challenges which she communicates clearly and calmly. She’s a very empathic person. I trust her and feel confident that I can tell her anything and everything. And she’s also a very realistic and practical person, so she’s concerned not only about helping me develop my career and business as a professional counsellor but also to progress with my own personal development. These are the qualities I was looking for in a supervisor. I believe that the quality of my work with clients has improved significantly since Wen and I started supervision together. "Peter Byers MACA Halekulani,Central Coast"I have been seeing Wen as a supervisor for almost three years now. I have found Wen to be professional, sensitive, knowledgeable, caring, approachable and confident as a counsellor. Not only has Wen assisted me with work clients, she has also supported me with personal issues too. Wen is very welcoming from the moment you walk through the door until you leave again. I would not hesitate to recommend Wen to anyone as a counsellor and a supervisor. Thank you, Wen, for your support. "Katharine Duck Macmasters Beach, Central Coast“I did not think that counselling could have such a positive impact on how I felt and acted with family and friends. Knowing I was not happy but I thought that was how it would always be. I felt cold and empty. There are people who care about me and I care about them. I thought I was okay. Finally, I accepted that maybe I could be happier. I contacted the Cancer Council for help. Wen has guided the healing that allows me to be genuinely alive and happy while still acknowledging the death of my husband. I felt like half a person without him. Now – I enjoy life and cherish our memories.”–Mrs Deborah Murray (North Avoca, Central Coast)“Wen has been an amazing listener and has helped me a lot in the short time I have been in contact with her. She has taught me the importance of working through my trauma and experiences rather than burying them and how to properly handle my feelings in a more healthy way. After each appointment with Wendy I feel as though a weight has been lifted and I know that she really listens to what I have to say and gives amazing advice and reassurance. Wen is very patient, understanding and offers great advice and I couldn’t recommend a more amazing counsellor. Thank you for everything.”–Alisha Zarb (Melbourne, Victoria)“I have been seeing Wen for some time now and she has helped me deal with anxiety and learn self-care. Her kind and caring nature instantly helped to develop a relationship where I felt comfortable to explore the root cause for my worries. Wen has taught me how important it is to look after myself and that well being starts within. Thank you so much for all your help Wen.”–Melissa Jones (Springfield, Central Coast)
