The LivingWorks ASIST is a two day, in person workshop, which features powerful audiovisuals, discussions and simulations.
During the workshop, you will learn how to recognize when someone might be thinking about suicide, you will learn how to perform a skilled intervention and you will how to develop a safety plan, in collaboration with the person, to connect them to further support.
During the workshop you will learn to understand how personal and community attitudes about suicide can affect someone’s openness to seek help.
This workshop will increase your willingness, confidence and capacity to provide suicide first aid.
Two supportive and knowledgeable trainers will guide you through the course, ensuring a comfortable and safe learning environment.

Presenter Qualifications:
LivingWorks accredited ASIST trainers.
Amanda is a counsellor and member of the ACA.
Her journey to becoming an ASIST trainer started in 2023, when a close member of her family disclosed that they were having thoughts of suicide.
Since then, Amanda has become an ASIST trainer for suicide intervention and her desire is to equip as many people as possible to perform suicide interventions, in order to promote communities safe from suicide.
