I offer inclusive, compassionate, and down-to-earth counselling for individuals, couples, and diverse relationship configurations, both online and in-person from my space in Fitzroy North. My practice is grounded in authenticity and care, creating a space where people can explore their lives without fear of judgment.
I work with people across a range of areas, including emotional wellbeing, life transitions, communication challenges, and identity exploration. I have a particular focus on men’s mental health, ethical non-monogamy (ENM), and supporting young people. I understand how hard it can be to reach out, and I aim to make the process as welcoming and supportive as possible.
I believe that counselling should be practical, collaborative, and tailored to you. I won’t give you cookie-cutter advice or sit silently with a clipboard. Instead, we’ll work together to unpack what’s going on and find meaningful ways forward. I integrate a range of approaches including person-centred therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. Most importantly, I centre your goals, your pace, and your lived experience.
With nearly two decades of experience in the community sector, I’ve worked across a range of settings including youth services, homelessness, justice, and education. I bring this depth into the room with me — not as an expert who knows it all, but as someone who’s walked alongside people through all kinds of challenges.
I have lived experience navigating ENM relationships and offer a non-pathologising, affirming space for those in or exploring ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, and other non-traditional relationship structures. Whether you’re coming to counselling alone, with a partner, or as part of a multi-partner dynamic, I can support you in working through challenges like communication breakdowns, boundary setting, jealousy, or external stigma.
I also have a long-standing interest and background in men’s mental health and masculinity. I support men to break through emotional walls, unpack cultural expectations, and show up more fully for themselves and the people around them. I offer a gentle but honest space for exploring anger, isolation, shame, fatherhood, identity, and emotional expression.
Young people are also a big part of my practice. My approach with young people is respectful, creative, and strength-based. I understand the pressures that come with school, identity, relationships, and the desire for independence — and I strive to meet young people where they’re at, with honesty and care.
I work with people of all genders, sexualities, and backgrounds, and I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all. If you're curious about whether we’re a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone chat so you can ask questions and get a feel for how I work.
