I believe in the power of connection, and find that the professional bond between you, the client, and me, the counsellor, is imperative in the work we do together in session. When there is a strong foundation of trust within the relationship, genuine and authentic empathy, absence of judgement, and an unconditional positive regard for the client, true and meaningful change and healing can occur.I love working with any age group, but I have a particular interest and passion for working with young people. Being young comes with so many challenges and vulnerabilities. It is my mission to create a safe and welcoming space where young clients can feel comfortable to open up and and explore what life is like for them. I find taking an integrative approach to counselling to be most effective because it allows me to be flexible for the clients I work with and it keeps them at the centre of the work we do together. I also incorporate a psychodynamic style to sessions, which allows space for deep reflection. I am passionate about working in a strengths focused way and empowering you, the client, to recognise and use your existing skills and courage.
