Cathy Linda | Trauma-Informed Counsellor
Bachelor of Counselling and Psychology | University of the Sunshine Coast
Cathy Linda is a compassionate and trauma-informed
counsellor with a Bachelor of Counselling and Psychology from the University of
the Sunshine Coast. She blends a wealth of life experience with professional
knowledge, offering a unique perspective to her work. As a mother of three
neurodiverse children, Cathy deeply understands the challenges of navigating
trauma, neurodiversity, and learning difficulties. Her personal and
professional experiences allow her to connect with clients on a meaningful
level, fostering a sense of safety and understanding.
Cathy’s approach centres on the profound connection between
the mind and body. She empowers clients to understand their biological
responses, break free from cycles of distress, and build emotional resilience.
Through integrating psychoeducation and practical strategies, Cathy helps
clients enhance their self-awareness, develop emotional regulation skills, and
cultivate tools to thrive.
Cathy’s work is rooted in empathy and evidence-based
methods. She understands how overwhelming life can feel when stress, anxiety,
and past trauma dominate daily experiences. While these challenges shape us,
Cathy firmly believes they do not define us. With the right support, she has
seen how cultivating emotional resilience can restore balance and create a
deeply fulfilling life. Her mission is to empower individuals to navigate
life’s complexities with confidence and resilience.
