My name is David Mandrake. I am a Registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association and the American Counseling Association. Since 2014, I have been working in Australia as a mental case manager, practice manager, and counsellor. I also have extensive experience in the US mental healthcare system as a case worker and in other critical care roles.In addition to my counselling credentials, I hold an ASIC Debt Management Services License, which allows me to provide debt counselling services and debt advocacy. This expertise comes from years of experience working as a debt collection officer for law firms and tax departments in the United States.My approach as a counsellor focuses on helping clients find their inner strengths to navigate life's challenges and create fulfilling lives. I hold Diplomas in Counselling, Mental Health, and Chaplaincy, and have certifications in CBT, DBT, ADHD management techniques, and advanced grief counseling. Additionally, I am a Board-Certified Hypnotherapist and a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists.As an experienced chaplain and accredited counsellor, I offer my clients a range of services including spiritual care and support, couples and family counselling, trauma and grief counselling, and mental health therapy. I am a member of Spiritual Care Australia, a professional organization that accredits individuals who provide spiritual care and support to others. My spiritual care credentials are supported by hospice training in the US and chaplaincy training in Australia.With nearly thirty years of investigative support experience in the US and Australian court systems, I am also a licensed investigator and security professional in Australia and New Zealand. Before coming to Australia, I volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem in the US, where I acted as a court advocate for children who were wards of the state. I was also a registered minister, providing pastoral care counseling and offering pre-marital courses and counseling to couples.I am certified in-house counsel with the Association of Corporate Counsel. In 2021, I was admitted to the International Criminal Court's List of Professional Investigators. Recently, I was added to the roster of pre-approved candidates as an Amicus Curiae Investigator for anticipated assignments with the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) for the tribunals in Rwanda and the Former Yugoslavia.Some of my other achievements include becoming a Global Peace Ambassador for the Institute of Economics and Peace by completing the Positive Peace Academy and becoming an International Humanitarian (war crimes) Law Training Instructor for the American Red Cross. I also completed a course in Emergency Psychological First Aid with the Australian Red Cross.
