Private Practice | Still Counselling
I am a Registered Counsellor and founder of Still Counselling - a private practice base in Wembley, WA. Still Counselling was inspired by the vision of being a safe space, a moment of time to pause... a place to feel seen and supported as clients explore, reimagine, realise and gain new skills and strategies for improved relationships and wellbeing.
As a Master of Counselling qualified Level 2 member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), I am committed to providing confidential, evidence-based therapy drawing from modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
My professional background encompasses providing trauma-informed support for the emotional, spiritual and mental wellbeing of patients and clients in a healthcare and perinatal service setting. I draw from my experience of supporting those in crisis, with major health issues, life limiting illnesses and the bereaved to be able to provide authentic, sensitive and compassionate client-centred care that honours each unique story. I am committed to supporting the wholistic mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of individuals and families, with a particular passion for perinatal issues, cancer support, bereavement, parenting, relationships and carer/healthcare worker support.
Originally from rural Western Australia, I have experienced the difficulty of engaging with professional services in a timely and accessible way. My intention is to make myself available as best as I can to those who might need an alternative to traditional face to face counselling, whether because of geographical, occupational, physical or family commitment limitations. Online (via Zoom) and telephone counselling sessions have been made available, with some after-hours availability to meet this need.
