Hello - I'm Jemima, registered counsellor and founder of The Counselling Cove. I have a background in community counselling, bereavement services, hospital settings, and crisis support, and I understand the complexities of personal struggles. I feel honoured to walk alongside my valued clients. I provide a warm, person-centred approach and tailor evidence-based strategies to meet your individual needs. My style is empathic and collaborative to bring out your own unique strengths. My special interests are anxiety, grief and loss, depression, maternal mental health and parenting, trauma, burnout, and work and wellbeing.
My service aims to individually adjust to the uniqueness of those who seek it so I offer a range of options: Face-to-Face, Telehealth, or for those who want to try something a little different, Walk & Talk Therapy. I also offer flexible options such as weekday, evening and weekend appointments because I know lives are busy and therapy can be hard to fit in.
The most important part of counselling is finding someone who you connect with so I'm always available for a free chat first to make sure that I'm that for you. Counselling is like a cove - a calm refuge in life’s rough seas and a place to pause, breathe, and find clarity. Support is here to help you reflect, reset, and find the tools to move forward.
