Expressing emotions through words alone can often be challenging. Art therapy provides a safe, creative space for you to visualise your inner world instead of simply verbalising it. As an art therapist, I help you explore and express your feelings using creative materials in a secure and supportive environment. Together, we work to understand and accept emotions that may feel overwhelming while discovering ways to manage them and take control of our lives.
I am deeply passionate about art making and its transformative power. Having lived with chronic illness and mental health challenges myself, I have personally experienced the therapeutic benefits of self-expression through art. I specialise in working with young people and children living with disabilities and complex trauma, and my person-centered approach is always guided by my participants' evolving interests and needs.
I am registered with the Australian, New Zealand, and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA) and Australian Counselling Association (ACA), holding a Master of Art Therapy (MA ATh) and a Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) in Visual Arts and Creative Writing. I integrate principles from neuroscience and disability into a systems-focused therapy approach to examine how family, community, and relationships influence well-being. I concentrate on strengths rather than diagnoses to empower you to live your best life.
