As a skilled counsellor and registered member of the
Australian Counselling Association, Kris blends her professional knowledge with
over 25 years of diverse experience in corporate, government, sports, and
private business sectors. This holistic and authentic counselling service
supports individuals facing everyday life challenges.
Kris is dedicated to encouraging and empowering her clients
to develop greater self-awareness and strengthen their self-confidence. She
helps them better interpret their thoughts and feelings, enabling informed
choices about their behaviours and a deeper understanding of the consequences
for themselves and others.
In her practice, Kris applies a genuine client-centred,
strengths-based, and solution-focused perspective. She integrates various
evidence-based therapeutic modalities, techniques, and education, including
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Narrative Therapy (NT), Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Processing
Therapy (CPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), neuroplasticity, and mindfulness.
A multi-skilled and enthusiastic lifelong learner, Kris
understands the sensitivities of working with individuals from diverse
cultural, religious, and gender backgrounds. She has extensive experience and
confidence in working with high-functioning intellectuals, clients with
learning difficulties, those with compounded and complex trauma, PTSD, general
anxiety, panic attacks, relationship issues, and various neurodiverse and mental
health considerations.
