Krysten Bisby is a dedicated and compassionate professional specializing in equine and canine-assisted counselling, with a focus on helping children and adolescents navigate their unique emotional and developmental challenges. Drawing from a rich background in education and therapeutic practices, Krysten integrates a blend of animal-assisted therapies and evidence-based counselling techniques to create a holistic approach for young individuals.
Krysten’s passion for empowering youth has been fostered through years of experience as a secondary school teacher. Her extensive work with children and adolescents has enabled her to develop deep insights into the complexities of this age group, particularly in the areas of emotional regulation, self-esteem, social integration, and mental health.
Through her training in both equine and canine-assisted therapy, Krysten provides a supportive environment where her clients can feel safe, understood, and open to emotional growth. Her approach is both innovative and empathetic, enabling her to build strong, trusting relationships with her clients that support long-term therapeutic progress.
KB Counselling Collective offers telehealth services to make her services more accessible to clients, allowing for flexible therapy sessions, especially in times where in-person counselling may not be possible.
In addition to Krysten's expertise in animal-assisted therapy, KB Counselling Collective also offers group counselling and career counselling, helping clients navigate important decisions around their future careers, educational paths, and personal aspirations. Her approach empowers young people to explore their strengths and interests while offering guidance on overcoming obstacles related to career choice and development.
