Maria is a dedicated counsellor specialising in cognitive development and behavioural issues in children. With a strong foundation in trauma-informed practices, Maria focuses on providing holistic support to clients of all ages.
Maria’s expertise covers personal counselling, career counselling, and family therapy, allowing her to address the diverse needs of her clientele.
Maria is passionate about empowering parents to be the best that they can be for their children. She offers parenting programs and workshops that equip caregivers with effective strategies to support their children’s emotional, social, cognitive and behavioural development.
In addition to working with children and families, Maria has extensive experience with disability support, developing positive behaviour plans, conducting comprehensive cognitive, emotional and behavioural assessments, and assisting her clients to bring purpose back into their lives. Her approach emphasises understanding each client’s unique strengths and challenges, tailoring interventions to foster resilience and growth throughout any stage of life.
Maria also runs professional development workshops for healthcare workers in the disability sector, which helps to create a stronger team for the client.
Her compassionate and client-centred approach creates a safe environment for individuals and families to explore their challenges and work toward meaningful change.
