Walid Yousafzai holds a Bachelor of Psychology and Educational Science from Afghanistan and did Diploma of Counselling in Australia has great passion for continuing his educational pursuits. Walid has a plethora of experience interacting with real people and early on delved into working with the Ministry of Public Health in an esteemed Mental Health (Psychiatric and Drug Dependency Treatment Hospital) Institution as a Leading Clinical Psychologist in Afghanistan. He has worked predominantly in General Anxiety Disorder, Drug Rehabilitation and Schizophrenia, therefore holds a suite of knowledge in these domains in Afghanistan. Walid has worked closely with the International Medical Corps (IMC) and gained quality training that he engages with actively in Kabul. Walid has participated in an international capacity with the United Nations training programs and gained invaluably dynamic social and interpersonal skills in his early career. These experiences have allowed for Walid to develop, refine and reflect upon his interactions with youth and beyond. Additionally, He has had the privilege of working with individuals on a national and international basis. His work has taken him to a number of continents such as Asia where he was providing his expertise at the Kabul Mental Health Hospital.Walid prides himself on his collegiality and his consistent approaches to catering for a diverse range of clients. To feel heard, to feel respected and to be understood are integral to the human experience.
