Navigating the challenges of life can be complex: oscillating between the beautiful, the overwhelming and all that lies between. We are all just doing our best to negotiate these twists and turns. As a registered counsellor, I am passionate about exploring these complexities and helping the individual to rediscover their strength and resilience to create meaningful and long-lasting change. I practice in a down to earth manner, with a humanistic focus, while drawing on evidence-based counselling techniques. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment that recognises the uniqueness of the person and their experience.
I have previously worked in Community Mental Health (12 years) and Mediation (12 years) and so have significant experience supporting people through varying degrees of stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal problems and other commonly occurring mental health concerns. My work in mediation involved dispute resolution of a wide range of issues. I have a special interest in supporting young adults and individuals experiencing grief and loss.
I have also been involved in the Music and Performing Arts sector for many years and understand the particular struggles faced by creative individuals.
