I am a compassionate and dedicated counsellor specialising in providing professional counselling services to individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship challenges. My primary goal is to create a safe, trusting, and welcoming space where you can freely explore your concerns and work toward meaningful growth and healing.
My counselling approach is rooted in several well-established methodologies, allowing me to tailor my services to meet your unique needs. I integrate a client-centred and evidence-based approach, focusing on your strengths and goals throughout our work together. My practice is informed by psychodynamic principles, recognising the influence of past experiences on present challenges. Additionally, I employ a trauma-informed lens, ensuring sensitivity and care for those who have experienced difficult or distressing events.
With a strong orientation toward systemic models, I understand relationships as interconnected systems where each individual’s experiences and actions contribute to the overall dynamic. This perspective allows me to address patterns of interaction within families and couples, facilitating healthier communication, emotional connection, and relational well-being.
I hold a Master of Counselling from Edith Cowan University, where I gained comprehensive training in counselling theories, interventions, and ethical practice. Building upon this foundation, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Family and Relationship Therapy at the William Street Family Therapy Center, further enhancing my skills in working with couples and families.
Additionally, I have completed Levels 1 and 2 of Gottman Method Couple Therapy through the Gottman Institute. This evidence-based approach equips me with valuable tools to assist couples in enhancing their communication, managing conflict effectively, and deepening their emotional connection.
I am particularly passionate about working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Understanding the complexities and richness of multiple cultural influences is a central aspect of my practice. I strive to provide culturally sensitive support, recognising and honoring each family's unique experiences, values, and traditions.
