Prathiba is a registered counsellor and supervisor with ACA/PACFA. She is a trained clinical children, youth and family therapist with 20yrs of experience working with CALD and First Nations population in trauma assessments and interventions. She is a supervisor, mentor, trainer and practice consultant.
Prathiba is passionate in the space of de-colonising mental health practice, by being open to re-examine and re-search “outside the room” interventions using cultural framework of language, emotional expressions and relational-attachment lens.
Her sector experiences include PTSD treatment in children and adults, complex mental health care, family services, sexual exploitation services, residential services, correction services, child protection services, and education system (primary and high schools).
She runs her Austral-Asia consulting practice in child-youth mental health.
