Hi, my name is Sharlene, and I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges with empathy, understanding, and genuine care. Walking along the beautiful Shell Cove Marina is one of my favorite ways to recharge—it connects me to nature, clears my mind, and reminds me how transformative simple self-care practices can be. Inspired by the positive impact it has on my own wellbeing, I decided to integrate this energizing experience into my professional counselling services.
I bring over 18 years of professional experience in the Child Development and Community Services sectors, with roles such as Community Liaison Officer, Student Wellbeing Officer, and various positions supporting families and children. My personal journey as a wife, mother of two young men, and someone who has navigated the complexities of single parenting and blended family life has equipped me with deep empathy and understanding of modern family dynamics.
I believe everyone deserves a safe space to feel heard and supported. My approach is built on authenticity, compassion, and respect. Whether walking together by the marina or working in a more traditional setting, I aim to create an environment where you can feel comfortable to explore, heal, and grow.
With over 12 years of experience in schools and communities, I’ve developed a natural ability to build rapport, offer non-judgmental support, and empower individuals to make meaningful changes in their lives.
